How often should I have my vehicle washed?
Washing your vehicle is an essential part of maintenance, more so in the Canadian environment due to the different type of weather we see and the salt from the roads. You should wash your car whenever you notice bird droppings, bugs, or other film on the surface. Ignoring these will etch themselves into your painted surfaces.
When should I wash off insect residue?
In our area we can get bug splatter very easily. I suggest washing them off at your earliest convenience. Forgetting them for too long will ruin your paint very quickly and make it more difficult for your detailer to repair.
What kind of car wash should I choose?
The car washes to avoid are car wash tunnels. Any touchless or touch machine car wash can do damage to your paint, causing scratches or swirling. The best car wash is a self serve car wash. We do not recommend their broom brushes. They hold dirt and sand and it gets rubbed into your paint. Be as hands off as possible!
Is a touchless car wash the safest?
Touchless washes use high PH formulas to remove the grime off your painted surfaces. This will actually wear down your current wax or protection that’s recently been applied. It can remove UV protection and accelerate damage that fades your plastic and your painted surfaces.
